When sky is no longer the limit

Recently, I came across an interesting article about Barack Obama. In that article, it is said that many parents are “summoning up” Obama to motivate their children:
Get up! Do you think Obama would have slept late and not made it to school on time?
Why don’t you guys share? Don’t you think Obama would want you to share?
How much did you read? Obama would have finished the book by now.
Belittling your friend shouldn’t make you feel better… Obama would never do that!!

Whoa..

I myself also feel very motivated by a story narrated by one woman in that article.

“(for presidential campaign) Both Obama and McCain were in Pennsylvania on a rainy day. McCain cancelled. But Obama was there in the rain. The rain was pouring and he was speaking, and the crowds were there,” she said.
“He did not slow down. At that moment, I knew he would win. It is the sense of determination that I want to impart to my children. That being good is not enough. You also have to have that drive.”

The story lingers in my mind… Yes, being good is not enough, we also need to have the Determination to drive us to greater Heights…

All the best, my friends!!!

I met emily and yee thien in a recent get-together initiated by my best friend Jason.. it has been almost a year since I saw them.. emily migrated to Melbourne, Australia while yee thien further her study in help university college.. both of them do not change much in terms of appearance (I still recognize them..haha).. emily still beaming with humours.. she showed a number guessing game using spoons and forks which brought back my nostalgia feelings.. those were the days,haha.. emily said she want to further her study to University of Melbourne, probably Bachelor of Science while yee thien want to further study to become a chemical engineer.. emily said she is not coming back malaysia next year (What?!)

A Night to Remember

4 December is indeed a night to be remembered.. Prior to the day, i was actually didn't expect much from the UCSI A-level's Starry Night (judging from the choice of venue and food).. i even make fun of the name"Starry Night", claiming that i rather Study overNight than going for the event.. however, i must admit that i really have fun during the event, especially the dance, haha..

while guys, to certain extent, looked like replica of each other, the girls all looked very unique and very pretty (i am glad that i went for the event, otherwise, i may regret for the rest of my life..haha) .. the girls make us guys looked like bodyguards when we walked from angkasa condo to MPH.. haha

the performance was very good.. both jiun haur and i felt the dance was fantastic and awesome especially the red-shirt indian guy.. the indian dance was followed up by a number of guitar performance (started with "More than words"..

then, comes the lucky draw.. mei and dines both won a 2GB and 4GB pen drive respectively.. really admired their luck..haha..

the Starry Night ended with dance.. ren ai and i had a very fun dance, haha (both of us didn't know the proper dance).. we laughed while we tried to copy other's moves.. it was really fun,

during the event, i didn't have the opportunity to cast my vote.. if i was given a chance to choose the winner, below will be my list:

Buck up, Arsenal!!

i cannot hide my disappointment that arsenal fc suffered another defeat.. an embarrassing 0-3.. their fifth defeats in this season.. what's wrong with arsenal? what's wrong with arsene wenger? did he lose the magical touch that he used to have? what on earth william gallas is doing?.. it looks more and more likely that arsenal fc is going to end this season trophiesless again, they may even failed to obtain the fourth place needed to qualify for champions league.. alas..

Buck up, arsenal!!

Ancora imparo -" i am still learning"-

i guess i am in the transistion period of my life (i mean the most drastic one).. studying in UCSI out of the comfort of my home is the most challeging task so far in my 18 years of life .. here, i have grown and matured at an exponential rate (to certain extent, frightening rate.. haha)

all my friends here are very talented: they know how to cook, how to play piano, how to swim, how to taekwando, how to play badminton, how to present idea articulately, how to organise activity and group works etc.. compared to them, i looked so ordinary.. haha

ya, it is true that life is about making use most of the opportunities presented to you.. so, all my friends are my oppurtunities to learn.. Learn from the best, and hopefully one day, i will also become one of the best..
